Training Camp 2010

This past Sunday we wrapped up our first official team training camp in St. Genevieve Missouri. We arrived at the hotel on friday evening and went out for a short spin before going to grab some grub. Saturday Morning consisted of readying bikes and gear for a day of chilly riding along the roads of the Missouri State Road Race course. I wasn't feeling quite up to par so I drove sag in Kellan's car and snapped some pics and brought along some backup gear and replenishments in the car. Once we finished up almost 4 hours of riding we cleaned up and just relaxed a little. Next up we had a meeting at the hotel to go over some more in depth thoughts on the upcoming season with some of the newer guys on the team. It went well and I think we're going to have a lot to look forward to this season with the new guys on the SEMO Cycling Team. Dinner Saturday night provided some hearty Mexican replenishment's at the El Indio in St. Genevieve. Sunday the team drove over to the KOM climb for the 2nd stage of the 2009 ToM route. We met up with team sponser John Dodd from Cyclewerx and one of his new riders Codly. With the climb lasting approximately 4 miles the idea here was to instill the idea of climbing in the subconcious and make it more of a comfortable thing with practice. Most guys did the climb a few times before cruising around at the top of the climb to spin the legs out before heading out and concluding a great training camp all before class starts!... Good Job to the team last weekend and we hope to have a great season this spring!
